Join Our League!
Flag football in our league is for the following age levels. Levels are 4-8 year old or 8-12 year old, depending on what the parent wants, an 8 year old can play down or up depending on their size and abilities. Although we allow 12 year olds to play there is a rule in our bylaws that states that no person that is 12 and entering the 7th grade is permitted to participate so keep that in mind when considering to sign up your 12 year olds. We also have Cheerleading and those ages are 3-8 year old or 8-13 with the same as football the 8 year old may cheer down or up depending on their size and abilities. These must be the ages they are by August 1st . League fee is $60 each for up to the first 2 kids in a family. Any more in the same household is 50% off so their cost is just $30. Every football player will receive an Official NFL jersey for their own to keep.

Youth football and cheerleading plays a vital role in encouraging physical, social and emotional growth of children. It is therefore essential for parents, coaches and officials to encourage their youth football players and cheerleaders to embrace the values of good sportsmanship, discipline and character development.

SVYL Football and Cheerleading was established in 1970 in Chillicothe, OH. The SVYL is a non-profit youth organization and we participate in different fundraisers to help support or teams and league. Starting this season we have 7 teams with the newly added Chiefs and Eagles who joined us this year. We are also very excited to announce our partnership with the NFL and their NFL Flag program.
All JV games (ages 4-8) are on the front field and all Varsity (ages 8-12) are on the back field. We have a concession stand located between both fields for your eating pleasure during our games and we appreciate your support to the league.

All of our board members, managers, and coaches are required to pass a background check in our league. Also everyone must be concussion certified through the Heads Up Program. Even though its flag football your child's safety and well being is our number one priority.

The Scioto Valley Youth Flag Football and Cheerleading are made up of the following 7 teams:

The Bengals, The Bills, The Browns, The Chiefs, The Eagles, The Jaguars and The Lions.
We have special events like a fish fry, field day, Super Bowl and a Cheerleading Competition. We have a 50/50 drawing at every game. Each team has an end of season banquet and awards for all participating children. We look forward to a great season.
